Gazipur Agricultural University (GAU) marked its 28th University Day on Saturday, 2025, under the theme ‘Celebrating excellence, proudly leading the way in 2025’. The event, organized by the university, highlighted the institution’s achievements, including its ranking as the country’s top agricultural university by QS and its 77th position globally in the World University Ranking of Innovation (WURI).
The celebrations began with the national anthem and a flag-hoisting ceremony led by Vice-Chancellor Professor GKM Mustafizur Rahman. The programme commemorated GAU’s transformation from the Institute of Postgraduate Studies in Agriculture (IPSA) into Bangladesh’s 13th public university in 1998.

The event, the main event of the year, recognized its national and international rankings, as well as its ongoing efforts to support Bangladesh’s agricultural sector through innovation and sustainability.
