The key discussion points at the conclave are expected to cover sustainable development approaches tailored to hilly and mountainous regions, challenges of infrastructure, connectivity, and accessibility in hilly states, agriculture, horticulture, and allied sectors suited to hilly terrain, environmental conservation and climate resilience for fragile ecosystems, socio-economic development including education, health, and livelihood in hilly states, policy frameworks and governance innovations for balanced growth, and the integration of traditional knowledge with new technologies for regional development.

Eminent personalities from various fields will be participating in the Shimla Conclave, including Eminent Economists, Political Scientists, Council of Ministers, Policy Makers, and the Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh Jai Ram Thakur.

The CPRG, established in 2016 with the aim of creating a better India by developing the research potential of budding talent in the field of policy making, has already published several types of research in various fields including governance, social issues, and economic policies. The organisation's work is directed towards giving a voice to the voiceless, power to the powerless, and establishing a thought process which depends upon the values of Liberty and Freedom, and envisions a society which is free from the barriers of inequality and injustice.

The Shimla Conclave, the first comprehensive platform for discussions and deliberations on sustainable development in hilly states, promises to be a significant event in the field of policy making and development, shedding light on the unique challenges and solutions for the Himalayan region.
