Garmisch careers fair opens doors to diverse jobs for young talent

This year’s careers fair in Garmisch-Partenkirchen has drawn large crowds, with students exploring a wide range of professions. The event, which continues on Friday with a 'Job Forum for All', has showcased opportunities from healthcare to the military. Young visitors engaged directly with employers, gaining hands-on experience in different fields.

The fair featured interactive displays, including a booth by the Bavarian Zugspitze Railway (BZB). Visitors were drawn to a detailed cable car model and free snacks while learning about apprenticeships in roles like agricultural machinery mechanic, chef, and hospitality cashier. Seppi Buchwieser, a current BZB apprentice, demonstrated the precision required in his work and discussed the company’s career paths.

The fair provided young attendees with direct exposure to potential careers, from technical trades to military service. With the 'Job Forum for All' extending opportunities to skilled professionals on Friday, organisers have highlighted the event’s role in connecting people with diverse employment options. Many visitors left with clearer ideas about their future paths.
