Gargaon College's Edu Expo 1.0 turns students into young entrepreneurs

Gargaon College recently hosted 'GC Edu Expo 1.0', an entrepreneurial workshop organized by its Department of Commerce. The event aimed to boost practical learning and innovative business skills among students. Faculty, union leaders, and learners from across the college attended the two-day programme.

The expo was officially opened by Dr. Sabyasachi Mahanta, Principal of Gargaon College. In his speech, he stressed the need for students to develop entrepreneurial abilities in today's job market.

The workshop built on an earlier session about 'Marketing Strategies for Innovative Entrepreneurship'. It included an 'exhibition-cum-sale' where students from 14 departments showcased handmade crafts, artistic works, and traditional items. Participants engaged directly with visitors, demonstrating products and handling sales.

Dr. Anil Tanti, Head of Commerce, also spoke about the value of hands-on learning and business skills. The event saw strong involvement from students, teachers, and guests, creating a lively platform for real-world business experience.

GC Edu Expo 1.0 provided students with direct exposure to customer interactions and live product sales. The initiative reinforced the college's focus on blending classroom knowledge with practical enterprise. No further public details about the event's scale or specific exhibits have been released.
