Future Day 2026: Registrations possible now

Future Day 2026, a nationwide event encouraging students to explore careers, is now accepting registrations. The initiative aims to provide gender-sensitive insights into various professions. In Landkreis Gifhorn, local opportunities include programmes organised by the district administration itself.

Students in Landkreis Gifhorn can choose from several activities on Future Day. Options include a rally through different district departments, visits to facilities like the Waste Management Center or Fire Service Training Center, or shadowing a professional at work. Due to space constraints, not all applicants will secure a place in the rally.

To apply, students must email '[email protected]' with their full name, date of birth, school and class details, and their preferred programme. Those wishing to shadow a specific employee must also provide the employee’s full name and department. The district, which employs around 900 people, handles a wide range of responsibilities, offering participants a broad view of public sector work. While nearby districts such as Celle, Harburg, and Uelzen have confirmed partnerships with local authorities or companies, Gifhorn’s organiser for Future Day 2026 remains unspecified in available information.

The event gives students hands-on experience in different career fields. Registration is open now, but places are limited for certain activities. Successful applicants will gain practical insights into the working world through structured programmes.
