Fürth Launches Youth Career Agency to Ease Job Market Entry
A new Youth Career Agency has opened in Fürth to support young people entering the workforce. Located at 7 Schwabacher Straße, the centre offers guidance for school leavers and those facing personal challenges. The initiative aims to simplify the transition from education to employment. The centre is run by ELAN, Fürth's employment and training agency. It brings together multiple support services under one roof, ensuring smooth cooperation between advisors. Young people can drop in without an appointment for an initial chat.
The opening event was attended by Fürth's mayor, Markus Braun, along with representatives from partner organisations. The location was chosen for its accessibility, sitting in the middle of the city's pedestrian zone. Visitors can meet with advisors from Monday to Wednesday between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. On Thursdays, the centre is open from noon to 4 p.m., and on Fridays, it closes earlier, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. For enquiries, a dedicated phone line is available at 0911 23993527.
The Youth Career Agency provides a central hub for young people seeking career advice. With flexible opening hours and no need for prior appointments, the service is designed to be easily accessible. The city hopes this will help more young residents find stable employment and training opportunities.
