Applications for the training of Judicial Administration Assistants in Baden-Württemberg's Higher Regional Courts of Karlsruhe and Stuttgart are now open for 2026. Interested individuals can apply via the respective websites of these courts.

As the first point of contact for citizens, lawyers, and other parties involved in the proceedings, Judicial Administration Assistants play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the justice system. They handle correspondence, administer files, and work closely with judges, public prosecutors, legal assistants, and judicial administration specialists.

The trainees will be employed in the public service of the state of Baden-Württemberg and will be paid according to wage group 9a (TV-L). The monthly training allowance is €1,236.82 gross in the first year, €1,290.96 gross in the second year, and €1,340.61 gross in the third year.

The Ministry of Justice is focusing on modern and strategically oriented personnel recruitment with the new campaign "#seiamstaat". The professional opportunities in the justice system are made visible through this campaign, and the next generation is reached via social media.

Trainees will be trained at various locations in Baden-Württemberg, including 22 training locations at local and regional courts. After at least one year of professional experience, qualified Judicial Administration Assistants have the opportunity to complete a six-month additional training for the beam service career of the middle judicial service (judicial administration specialist).

In the Regional Court of Appeal Stuttgart district, 142 out of 1,558 applicants were accepted, while in the Regional Court of Appeal Karlsruhe district, 90 out of 726 applicants were hired. Minister Marion Gentges congratulates 232 trainees who have started their training as Judicial Administration Assistants for the year 2025, and Elmar Steinbacher, head of the Ministry of Justice and Migration, welcomes the trainees in the ministry.

A total of 2,284 applications were received for the training positions. The two Higher Regional Courts in Baden-Württemberg responsible for applications and training operations for the year 2026 are the Oberlandesgericht Karlsruhe and the Oberlandesgericht Stuttgart.

For further information, the Ministry of Justice can be contacted via their Press Office or Citizen Representative.
