Frankfurt’s Minecraft Education Campus to Revolutionize Vocational Training by 2026
Frankfurt is making significant strides towards modernizing vocational education. The city and the Frankfurt-Rhein-Main Chamber of Crafts have signed a letter of intent, bringing the Minecraft Education Campus in Frankfurt-Rödelheim a step closer to reality.
The new campus will be built on two adjacent plots, with the city acquiring the land for the Philipp-Holzmann School and the Chamber of Crafts owning the property for the Infinite Campus Training and Technology Center. The central building will house both institutions, fostering a seamless blend of traditional craftsmanship and new technologies.
Lord Mayor Mike Josef (SPD) sees the campus as a clear signal for the future of vocational education in Frankfurt. It will strengthen the city's reputation as an education hub, offering trainees modern workshops equipped with machinery and digital tools. By mid-2026, a binding framework agreement is expected to be finalized, outlining the responsibilities and rights of each partner in the project.
The German Federal Property Management (BImA) will oversee planning and construction, with the Chamber of Crafts managing the entire process to accelerate development.
The Minecraft Education Campus in Frankfurt-Rödelheim is set to redefine vocational training in the city. With its blend of traditional craftsmanship and innovative learning methods, it promises to equip trainees with the skills needed for the future. The signing of the letter of intent marks a significant milestone in this ambitious project.
