Fishing trial dates have been finalized
Mark your calendars! The Fishery Exam, a practical training day for certified personnel, is scheduled to take place on November 19, 2025, starting at 2:00 PM. This event is an essential part of a course aimed at qualifying individuals to test work and protective scaffolds.
The training hall for this event will be the Peri training hall in Stockstadt am Rhein. This day will focus on practical skills, assessing participants' ability to assemble an angling device for catching fish in a sportsmanlike manner, add necessary equipment, and identify and name fish species.
The number of participants for this Fishery Exam is limited to 120. To secure a spot, applications must be submitted to the Kreis Herford no later than October 18, 2025, at 11:59 PM, at Amtshausstr. 3, 32051 Herford.
Remember, priority will be given to individuals from Kreis Herford during registration. However, if you reside outside of Kreis Herford, don't worry! You can still apply, but it's recommended to inquire by phone (05221 13-2680) before the registration deadline to check for available spots.
For those outside of Kreis Herford who wish to be examined by the Lower Fisheries Authority of Kreis Herford, an exemption permit from your home district's fisheries authority is required and must be submitted by the same deadline.
The Fishery Exam consists of a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part tests knowledge in general fish knowledge, specific fish knowledge, water and fish breeding knowledge, nature and animal protection, and equipment and legal knowledge.
The practical exams for the fishery course will be held on November 25 and 26, 2025, each day from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The exam location is 32120 Hiddenhausen-Sundern, Untere Wiesenstr. 55, Meeting Point Sundern.
Applications can be submitted via mail, email, or through the Kreis Herford's service portal. The application form can be found on the Kreis Herford's website at http://web.ourwebsite/s/fisheryexam. No advance payments are required; an invoice for the appropriate fee will be provided upon application submission.
