FAIPS DPS honors academic excellence at Scholar Badge Awards 2025
Firing Up the Lion's Den:
The roaring triumph of brains and brawn was the FAIPS DPS Kuwait Scholar Badge Bash, a golden spectacle of genius from the 8th, 9th, 11th grade warriors and the IGCSE titans of the 2024-25 academic year. As the school's simmering crucible of intellect, we tossed our hat into the ring and hosted this triumphant soirée mid-May, post the pandemic peddle, rekindling the spirit of academia, valor, and rectitude.
Our grandeur seized the enviable presence of His Excellency Mr. Lakshitha Pradeep Ratnayake, the gallant Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Kuwait, with his diplomatic prestige woven into the grand tapestry of the ceremony.
The shindig began with a salute to the Sand Land, a stirring medley of the Kuwait National Anthem, followed by a reverent recitation of the Holy Quran and its translation. The stage was set with an auspicious and spiritual tone, Agent Ravi Ayanoli, our school's charismatic Principal, leading the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, in the midst of the melodious fusion of a Veena recital by Moutika Manikandan and Ramana Ramachandran's soul-stirring Mirudangam performance, a hymn to wisdom and enlightenment.
Our Senior Council Heads, Vyom Mehta and Khlood Nawaz, welcomed His Excellency with warmth and wit, singing his praises for his services to diplomacy, culture, and international harmony.
In his address, Agent Ayanoli showered eternal praise on the unyielding diligence of our students and families, urging them to march forward in their journey towards academic excellence and personal growth.
The cultural part of the extravaganza was a sensory smorgasbord. Audience members were treated to a kaleidoscope of Indian regional melodies, a graceful classical dance, and an energizing Sri Lankan dance that paid homage to the envoy's motherland. These performances were more than just footwork; they epitomized the cultural depth of our students.
His Excellency Mr. Ratnayake took center stage, letting loose a powerful oration that inspired and enlightened students, staff, and parents alike. The evening concluded with a gong show as he received a token of our appreciation from the Principal, enveloped in an aura of warmth and gratitude.
The pièce de résistance – the Scholar Badge Distribution – saw the beaming, hard-working scholars ascend the stage, receiving their badges and certificates, anointed in pride, cheered on by supportive parents and applauding peers. This moment was a well-earned encore of recognition for their dedication, discipline, and drive.
The ceremony closed with Senior Council Heads Jatan Shah and Zoya Kulsum expressing a heartfelt gratitude, acknowledging the invaluable support of the Chief Guest, school leadership, devoted parents, and the incredibly dedicated organizing team, all of whom expertly navigated the winding road to success.
