Euskirchen's Updated Children's City Map Encourages Young Explorers

Euskirchen has introduced a newly updated Children's City Map, designed to help young residents explore the town on their own. The revised version reflects recent developments, including new buildings, roads, and play areas. First Deputy Mayor Jaax officially presented the map at the Children and Youth Forum on February 23, 2026.

The map includes playful details that highlight Euskirchen's local features. Landmarks like the play ship in the Erftaue meadows appear alongside essential addresses and safe routes for children. A special section also outlines key children's rights, making the guide both practical and educational.

Every future first-grader will receive a copy of the map in their ABC bag. Residents can obtain it from the town administration, the Children and Youth Office, or download a digital version. For questions, the Children and Youth Office provides direct contact information.

Despite the map's release, no public records confirm that any kindergartens or schools in Euskirchen have received copies as of February 26, 2026.

The updated map aims to support children's independence while showcasing Euskirchen's evolving infrastructure. With clear markings and engaging visuals, it serves as a useful tool for young explorers. The town administration continues to promote its availability through multiple channels.
