The Museum of Concrete Art and Design (MKKD) in Ingolstadt is gearing up for an exciting digital adventure, as part of the Audi Summer Concerts 2025. A collaboration between the museum and the Bavarian Sparkassen Foundation, the digital rally named "New Digital Rally by Youth for Youth" is now available via the MKKD app (MKKD).

This innovative project, developed by 12 female students from the Reuchlin-Gymnasium, forms part of the museum's digital interim program until the opening of the new house. The digital rally takes participants on a journey through the city, starting from the current location of the museum and ending at the future MKKD.

Nine exciting stations are present along the route, including Traktorstraße, Konrad-Adenauer-Bridge, Klenzepark, Donausteg, and various other locations in Ingolstadt. At each station, participants will encounter sculptures and works of Concrete Art, including pieces by Alf Lechner.

The digital rally is designed to be a playful discovery of art, with puzzles, tasks, and creative challenges integrated throughout. All contents are prepared multimedially, with audios, transcriptions, and interactive elements, ensuring an engaging and immersive experience for all.

The project seminar, where the digital rally was developed, was in collaboration with the Museum of Concrete Art (MKK) and was guided by art teacher Theresa Hajduk. Through this project, the students gained valuable insights into art mediation, from idea finding to technical implementation.

The MKKD app already contains free contents like a virtual "play with color", videos on restoration, and current information about the construction site. With the addition of the digital rally, the app now offers an additional feature, the new digital scavenger hunt, as part of its digital interim program.

This unique initiative uses the museum’s space and artistic context to digitally and physically engage young audiences in Concrete Art through innovative concert events and cultural programming. The digital rally is a testament to the creativity and passion of the youth, who have played a significant role in bringing Concrete Art to life in Ingolstadt.
