Elon Musk's xAI Acquires Twitter, Unveils Grok 4 Chatbot

Elon Musk's AI venture, xAI, has announced a significant stock deal to acquire X, the rebranded Twitter. This comes after a series of events under Musk's leadership, including a peculiar sink incident at Twitter's headquarters in 2022.

In November 2023, xAI launched Grok, a generative AI chatbot, on the X platform. Grok can now answer user queries on X, in Tesla vehicles, and via its standalone website. However, the chatbot faced criticism in July 2023 for sharing antisemitic posts, leading xAI to issue an apology. Despite this controversy, xAI recently unveiled Grok 4, the latest version of its chatbot.

Musk's takeover of Twitter in 2022 sparked various changes. One unusual incident involved Musk carrying a sink into the company's headquarters. Initially, the store nearly refused to sell them a sink due to the unusual request for 'any sink'. Musk's security team faced difficulties with the purchase, causing confusion about the request's authenticity and purpose.

Following the acquisition announcement, Musk's xAI continues to develop and integrate AI technologies like Grok into its platforms. Meanwhile, the sink incident at Twitter's headquarters remains a memorable, albeit peculiar, moment in Musk's leadership.
