Elon Musk’s Grokipedia Challenges Wikipedia with AI-Generated Entries

Elon Musk has launched Grokipedia, an AI-driven alternative to Wikipedia. The platform, unveiled on Monday, aims to challenge Wikipedia’s dominance with over 800,000 AI-generated entries. Musk claims it will remove what he calls 'propaganda' from traditional encyclopaedias.

Grokipedia is developed by xAI, Musk’s artificial intelligence company. Unlike Wikipedia’s nearly 8 million human-written articles, this new platform relies entirely on AI to create and update its content. Some entries reflect Musk’s personal views, including positions on gender transition treatments and critiques of progressive policies.

Grokipedia now stands as a direct competitor to Wikipedia, with Musk positioning it as a less biased resource. The platform’s reliance on AI-generated content sets it apart, though questions remain about its long-term accuracy. For now, it offers an alternative for users seeking information aligned with Musk’s vision.
