Edoardo Bolamperti, a 23-year-old drummer from Oleggio, made a name for himself when he accompanied Anna Castiglia on drums during the 35th edition of the "Concertone del Primo Maggio" in Rome, performing in front of a whopping 100,000 people. "Playing for such a massive crowd was a mind-blowing experience", he recalls, "but you've got to keep emotions in check to avoid getting overwhelmed by anxiety." His performance with Castiglia has been an incredible addition to his journey as a musician.
Miles of Music: Collaborating with Anna Castiglia
Edoardo's collaboration with the Sicilian singer-songwriter extends over several years. Their connection led to Edoardo's appearance in Castiglia's performance during the 2024 edition of the event held at the Circus Maximus in Rome. While Anna performed as a soloist during that event, Edoardo was ecstatic about the opportunity to meet fellow musicians, managers, and technicians, calling the whole experience a "circus".
Beating His Own Drum: Diodato and Edoardo Bolamperti
Beyond his work with Anna Castiglia, Edoardo lent his rhythmic talent to Diodato's tracks, including "Non credo piú", released in April. Working behind the scenes with such talented artists has been particularly fascinating for Edoardo. His only complaint is that he wants more opportunities to be part of the limelight.

Having just graduated from the three-year pop drumming and percussion course at the Milan Conservatory, Edoardo is now prepared to embark on a two-year course, continuing his journey in the world of music. The summer ahead is shaping up to be busy, with Edoardo joining Castiglia on her tour, traveling to places like Paestum (Salerno).
