Eco Warrior Awards 2025 Honours India's Environmental Champions
The Eco Warrior Awards 2025 and the 3rd Eco Warrior Conclave, organised by Indian Masterminds and the Indian Forest Service Association, honoured individuals and initiatives transforming India's environmental landscape. The event, held in New Delhi, was graced by Mr Bharat Lal, Secretary General of the National Human Rights Commission, as the Chief Guest.
Two insightful panel sessions were held: 'Eco-Tourism for the Future' and 'Awakening Collective Environmental Consciousness'. Corporate sustainability champions, including GAIL India, Indian Oil, and Karnataka Soaps & Detergents Ltd., were recognised for their exceptional contributions. The event also featured a captivating wildlife photography exhibition by Mohd Aslam Warisi.
Union Environment Minister Bhupender Yadav, in a video message, commended IFS officers and the Eco Warrior Awards. Dr. H.S. Singh was honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award, while IFS Sonali Ghosh received the Wildlife Conservation Award. Other IFS officers were recognised in various categories for their dedication to protecting India's forests and wildlife. Notable projects like Project Cheetah and Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam were also recognised for their innovative approaches to environmental conservation.
The event commemorated National Forest Martyrs' Day with a tribute to those who lost their lives safeguarding India's forests and wildlife. Sharad Gupta, Editor of Indian Masterminds, delivered the Vote of Thanks, marking the successful conclusion of the event.
