Düren Police invites young women to explore law enforcement careers in 2026

The Düren Police will host its annual Police Girls' Day on April 23, 2026. The main event invites female students from fifth grade and above to explore careers in law enforcement. Organisers hope to offer a realistic look at policing while encouraging more young women to consider the profession. Participants will spend the day meeting officers, touring different police units, and learning about training programmes. Activities include discussions with serving personnel and hands-on demonstrations of daily policing tasks. The event also covers career paths within the force, from patrol duties to specialist roles. Female students interested in attending must apply by March 12, 2026. Applications should be sent via email to [email protected]. Each submission must include a cover letter, a CV with a photo, and a copy of the most recent school report. Further details, including the full programme, are available on the Düren Police website. While the event has run in previous years, no official figures exist for past participation numbers across North Rhine-Westphalia. The main event aims to break down gender stereotypes in policing by giving young women direct experience of the job. Successful applicants will receive confirmation before the event. The deadline for submissions remains March 12, 2026.
