Duisburg’s Adult Education Center launches stress-relief courses in 2026
The Duisburg Adult Education Center (VHS) will offer two new health courses in January 2026. Both programmes are recognised as educational leave under the Employee Further Training Act. Participants can choose between qigong and mindfulness-based stress management (MBSR).
The first course runs from January 12 to 14, 2026, and focuses on qigong. It includes both Still Qigong and Dynamic Qigong, techniques designed for easy practice in daily life.
The second programme is an MBSR educational leave, scheduled for January 19 to 21, 2026. MBSR teaches methods to handle stress on physical, cognitive, and emotional levels. The course aims to help participants cope better with difficult situations.
For further information, Maria Hönes, the head of VHS Duisburg, can be contacted directly.
Both courses provide employees with the chance to take educational leave while learning stress management techniques. The qigong and MBSR programmes are open to anyone looking to improve their well-being. Registration details are available through the Duisburg Adult Education Center.
