Dr Obaapanin Adu Oforiwaa Urges Young Women: Seize Opportunities in Higher Education

Dr Obaapanin Adu Oforiwaa, Director of General Administration and Consular Services at the University of Media, Arts and Communication, recently shared crucial advice for young women in higher education. She emphasised the importance of recognising and capitalising on opportunities, and encouraged them to prioritise their future success.

Dr Adu Oforiwaa, who heads the Tertiary Scholarship Program supported by CAMFED Ghana, urged young women to challenge themselves and take on leadership positions. The program, benefiting 781 marginalised young women across various public tertiary institutions in Ghana, covers tuition, accommodation, stipends, and other academic-related expenses. Dr Adu Oforiwaa reminded the scholars to take their studies seriously and not disappoint their donors.

She highlighted the significance of recognising and capitalising on opportunities in higher education, stressing that it could transform their lives and open doors to future success.

Dr Adu Oforiwaa's advice to young women in higher education is a testament to the power of opportunity and the importance of taking responsibility for one's future. Through CAMFED Ghana's Tertiary Scholarship Program, 781 marginalised young women are given the chance to pursue higher education and create a better future for themselves.
