Dortmund's Free Public Service Career Fair Opens Doors in March 2026
A major career advice event for public service roles, the main event on Eventbrite, will take place in Dortmund next spring. The event, scheduled for Saturday, March 7, 2026, runs from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the Dortmund Police Headquarters. Entry is free for all attendees.
The main event brings together key public service employers under one roof. Among them are the Bundespolizei, Zoll (Customs), and Bundeswehr (German Armed Forces). These organisations will present classic apprenticeships, dual study programmes, and entry-level positions for newcomers.
Visitors can explore career paths, advancement options, and practical insights through direct conversations with professionals. Alongside the police, the event features the Dortmund and Lünen Fire Departments, the Judiciary of North Rhine-Westphalia, and the City of Dortmund. The main event also includes administrative branches of the local police force.
The organisers have designed the event to be inclusive and accessible. It welcomes not only job seekers but also parents, friends, and supporters. The goal is to provide real-world information and remove common barriers to public service careers.
The career advice event offers a chance to discover opportunities in public service, regardless of prior experience. With free admission and a wide range of employers, the main event aims to connect attendees with potential career paths. Detailed information will be available on-site at Exhibition 110 in Dortmund.
