Dhaka University explores ethical foundations of sustainable business on World Philosophy Day
Dhaka University’s philosophy department, along with the Dev Centre for Philosophical Studies and the Centre for Moral Development, marked World Philosophy Day with a series of events. The celebration included a keynote presentation and a panel discussion on sustainable business ethics.
The event began with a welcome address by Tahmina Yasmin Shobha, an associate professor in the philosophy department. Following this, Professor Mohammad Daud Khan delivered the keynote presentation titled Ethical and Rational Basis of Sustainable Business. The talk, originally attributed to Dr. Michael Braungart, was instead presented by Khan.
The joint programme brought together academics and experts to explore ethical frameworks in business. The discussions and presentations highlighted the role of philosophy in shaping sustainable practices in the business world.
