Cycling Enthusiast Stefan Dreisiebner Appointed Professor of Digital Business Management
Stefan Dreisiebner, a dedicated educator and cycling enthusiast, has been appointed professor of Digital Business Management at the University of Applied Sciences Carinthia in Villach since 2024. He previously earned his PhD at the University of Graz and has a strong background in digital transformation and information literacy.
Dreisiebner's journey in academia began at the University of Graz, where he studied economic education with a focus on information science and business informatics. He completed his PhD in 2018, demonstrating the significant impact of a MOOC on information literacy in economics in his dissertation.
After working at the University of Hildesheim, he returned to Austria in 2022 and took the helm of the Bachelor's program in Digital Business Management at the University of Applied Sciences Carinthia since October 2023. His family background in teaching has fueled his passion for education.
Dreisiebner is not just an academic; he is also an avid cyclist. He enjoys riding with the university team, participating in joint outings and training camps, and even donning matching jerseys. The team's spring trip to Trieste for a cycling event was a highlight for him.
