Community Members Invited to Discuss School Improvements, Courtyard Repairs, Lighting, and Water Issues in Auezovsky District
In a recent online meeting with residents, the akim (mayor) of Auezov District, Sairan Sayfedenov, shared future plans for the district's development. The plans encompass area beautification, renovation of sewage and engineering networks, resolution of dilapidated housing issues, and improvements in communal housing through the replacement of 100 elevator equipment under the "Nurly Zher" program.
Sayfedenov also addressed concerns about a construction project in the district, promising to review all citizens' requests and provide a response in the nearest possible time. Three question collection points were equipped in the district for residents to address their questions to the akim live.
One resident, Aigerm Esembaeva, expressed concern about the construction of a 9-story residential complex on the plot where her high-rise building is located. Another resident, Gulbibi Madiakzy, voiced concerns about homeless people near her residential building, disturbing residents at night and littering the area. However, the akim did not address these specific concerns in this paragraph.
In addition to these initiatives, over 3000 student places will be created in Almaty's Auezov District by the end of the year, achieved through the construction of new annexes to five schools. Furthermore, a medical clinic with a capacity of 200 visits in the Mamyr microdistrict is set to complete its design phase this year.
Residents are advised to remain calm and notify authorities if construction continues, particularly in cases where it may affect their living conditions or safety. The akim noted and promised to look into various appeals, including those about the beautification of courtyards, lighting, and water supply. Sayfedenov also expressed concern about the limited courtyard territory for children to play and walk.
It is worth noting that addressing homelessness in urban districts like Auezov in Almaty typically involves coordinated efforts by city authorities, social services, and non-governmental organizations. These efforts may include providing temporary shelters, social and legal support, outreach programs focusing on vulnerable populations such as families and children, and measures to improve public safety.
For accurate, up-to-date details on the specific initiatives and safety measures in Auezov District, it would be necessary to consult local government releases, social service announcements, or news reports focused on Almaty’s municipal response to homelessness.
