Commencing a Fresh New Year for Our Blogs

As the new academic year begins at Princeton University, students and faculty are eager to dive into a year filled with learning and discovery. One of the most anticipated aspects of the university's academic life is the return of the correspondent team for the Princeton University blog.

This year, four returning correspondents, Rafi, Shanon, Alec, and Elise, will be joined by four new faces: Andrea, Saira, Nanako, and Raya. Each of these correspondents brings a unique perspective and area of expertise to the table.

Saira Reyes, the Engineering Correspondent, is a sophomore from Northern New Jersey. She is concentrating in chemical and biological engineering and has worked on various research projects, including polymer nanoimprints and microfluidics. Over the summer, she delved into a research project involving metabolic engineering on campus. Besides her academic pursuits, Saira is involved in PUMP and Princeton Latinos y Amigos.

Andrea Reino, the Social Sciences Correspondent, is a junior from New York with roots in Spain. She plans to attend law school after graduation. On campus, Andrea is a PUMP mentor, a Petey Greene tutor, and a double-bass player in the Princeton University Orchestra. She enjoys languages, good food, and spending time with her cat.

Nanako Shirai, the Natural Sciences Correspondent, is a sophomore from New Hampshire with past residence in Pennsylvania and South Carolina. She is currently exploring the fields of Molecular Biology and Chemistry. On campus, Nanako is a violinist in the Princeton University Orchestra, treasurer for the Japanese Student Association, an officer for the TEDx division of Princeton Social Innovation, and works at the Princeton Writing Center as a fellow.

Though details about Raya Ward, another Natural Science Correspondent, were not provided, we look forward to her contributions to the blog.

For readers interested in specific topics or seeking answers to questions, the Contact Us form is available for submissions. However, for the most accurate and up-to-date information about the correspondents and their areas of focus for the 2022-2023 academic year, it is recommended to consult the official Princeton University website or contact the university's communications office directly.

As the academic year unfolds, the Princeton University blog is sure to provide insightful and engaging content from its talented correspondent team. Stay tuned for more updates!
