College Entrepreneurs Light Up a Niche with Affordable LED Solutions

Two Colorado Mesa University students have launched a business offering affordable LED outdoor lighting. Jackson Amerine and Jayden Dirksen founded CMBulbs to provide customizable, year-round lighting solutions. Their aim is to fill a gap in the stock market today while balancing their studies with real-world experience.

The idea for CMBulbs came after Amerine and Dirksen noticed high prices from similar companies. Both had experience installing lights at their family homes, which sparked the business concept. They decided to create a more budget-friendly alternative.

The company’s customizable, year-round lighting has found a niche in the stock market. With multiple projects completed and expansion plans underway, CMBulbs is growing steadily. For the founders, it remains both a business opportunity and a hands-on learning experience.
