Chittagong University Scientific Society inaugurates new student office space

The Chittagong University Scientific Society opened its new office room on Saturday. The ceremony took place with university officials and student leaders in attendance. Professor Md Kamal Uddin, the pro-vice chancellor for administration, served as the chief guest at the event.

The inauguration began with Professor Uddin cutting the ribbon to officially open the office. He later presented awards to members of the society's executive committee, including the Best Performer Award and the Promising Performer Award.

During his speech, Professor Uddin highlighted the organisation's role in helping students develop practical skills alongside their academic studies. He encouraged the society to continue supporting scientific research and innovation among students.

Key figures from the society were present, including president KM Sifat Shahreen Swachchha, senior vice-president Abidul Maula Khan, vice-presidents Mohammad Ikramul Haque Ikram and Md Rezanur Rahman Hridoy, and joint general secretary Pratik Dutta. The event marked a formal step in expanding the society's facilities for its members.

The new office room provides a dedicated space for the society's activities. With the pro-vice chancellor's endorsement, the organisation aims to further its work in student skill development. The awards presented also recognised the contributions of its executive committee members.
