Chegg Skills and Woolf Partner to Turn Job Training Into College Degrees

Chegg Skills and Woolf have announced a new partnership to bridge workforce training with accredited degrees. The collaboration allows learners to apply job-focused skills programs toward recognised undergraduate and postgraduate qualifications. Both organisations aim to make higher education more flexible and aligned with industry needs.

Chegg Skills specialises in upskilling and reskilling programs tailored to specific job roles. Its courses emphasise applied learning and measurable outcomes. Under the agreement, selected Chegg Skills programs will now count toward Woolf degrees after review by Woolf's quality assurance team.

The partnership follows Chegg's recent restructuring and shift toward AI-driven learning and workforce skilling. Colin Coggins, GM and Senior Vice President of Chegg Skills, stated that the initiative expands access to practical, job-relevant education linked to formal academic credentials. Meanwhile, Woolf—a globally accredited institution—offers degrees that follow the Bologna Process and use the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS).

Dr. Joshua Broggi, President and Rector of Woolf, highlighted that the collaboration aligns with Woolf's mission to provide affordable, future-ready higher education. Eligible Chegg Skills programs will be embedded within Woolf's academic framework, enabling learners to convert career-focused training into recognised qualifications. The degrees are accepted in over 60 countries, though specific details on program fields or global recognition were not disclosed.

The partnership creates a direct pathway from short-term, job-aligned training to accredited degrees. Learners can now earn formal qualifications while developing industry-relevant skills. Woolf and Chegg Skills will continue to integrate programs under this new framework.
