The image shows a group of children sitting at a desk in front of two computer monitors, with a keyboard, mouse, and other objects on the table. In the background, there is a curtain, suggesting that the children are in a classroom setting. The children appear to be engaged in a video chat, likely related to the internet of things.

ChatGPT now offers Coursera courses inside the AI chatbot

ChatGPT users can now access Coursera courses directly within the AI platform. The integration marks the first time an online learning provider has been embedded into the chatbot. Available globally—except in the EU—the feature aims to make education more interactive and accessible.

The partnership between OpenAI and Coursera was announced as a way to blend AI with structured learning. Users on Free, Go, Plus, and Pro plans can explore courses, watch videos, and get course details without leaving ChatGPT. Initially, the service is offered in English, though subtitles and dubbing will appear in some languages later.

Leah Belsky of OpenAI highlighted the benefits of merging AI with expert-led courses. She described the approach as making learning easier, more engaging, and focused on real-world application. Coursera CEO Greg Hart echoed this, calling the collaboration a step toward broader access to education for future careers. No other major online learning platforms have been integrated into ChatGPT since the March 2026 rollout. Google's Gemini introduced similar visual learning tools in late 2025, but Coursera remains the first full course provider inside the chatbot.

The integration is live for most ChatGPT users worldwide, excluding those in the EU. It allows learners to interact with Coursera content seamlessly through the AI interface. The move reflects a push to combine technology with structured education for wider reach.
