Celebrate Love Through Poetry in This Valentine's Day Workshop

A special online workshop will celebrate love through poetry this Valentine's Day. The Poetry of Love, led by writer Colette Lafia, invites participants to explore love in its many forms. The event takes place on February 14, 2026, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM CET via Zoom.

The two-hour session blends guided writing, short readings, and moments of quiet reflection. Attendees will respond to prompts designed to uncover the poetry of love in their own lives. Lafia's approach treats poetry as a form of prayer, encouraging deeper connection through words.

No prior experience is needed—both seasoned poets and beginners are welcome. The workshop will draw inspiration from Lafia's latest book, Leaving the Shore: Experiencing Poetry as Prayer. Contemplative pauses will be woven throughout, allowing space for personal insight.

Registration is now open. Interested participants can sign up at https://www.stcolumbasinverness.org/poetry-of-love.

The event offers a chance to engage with love's many expressions through writing and reflection. Lafia's guidance and the workshop's structure aim to help participants craft their own poetic responses. The session concludes with a shared experience of creativity and connection.
