CBSE Announces Class 12 Supplementary Exam Results for 2024-25

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the results of the Class 12 supplementary exams for the academic session 2024-25. The exams were conducted on July 15, 2025, and were held to provide an opportunity for students who failed in one of the five mandatory subjects, students with six subjects who passed by replacing a failed main subject with an additional one, and candidates who had passed but opted to improve their performance.

According to the official reports, a total of 1,38,666 students appeared for the exams, out of which 37,957 to 53,201 students passed, resulting in a pass percentage of 29.78% to 38.36%. The exact pass percentage may vary slightly depending on the source.

The pass percentage for the Children with Special Needs (CWSN) stood at 50.18%, with 137 of the 273 appearing candidates clearing the exam. Girls recorded a higher pass percentage of 41.35%, while boys recorded a pass percentage of 36.79%. However, it is important to note that no publicly available data from the 2024-25 CBSE Class 12 supplementary exam results provides a pass percentage breakdown by gender, transgender category, or foreign schools.

Private candidates in Delhi will receive their documents at their exam centers, while those outside Delhi will receive them at the addresses provided in their application forms. The CBSE will distribute mark sheets-cum-passing certificates for regular students through schools. Students can access their results on the official websites: results.cbse.nic.in and digilocker.gov.in.

The verification process for the supplementary results will begin on August 6, 2025, and a separate circular detailing the verification process will be issued soon. Students are advised to regularly check the official CBSE website at cbse.gov.in for more updates.

It is worth mentioning that the CBSE introduced a new Relative Grading System that started from the 2024-25 academic year to reduce stress and competition. The main Class 12 exam pass percentage was approximately 88.39% overall.

For foreign school students, 486 out of 918 students passed, resulting in a pass percentage of 52.94%.

No transgender candidates passed the Class 12 supplementary exams as per the available data.
