California Water Service Opens $80K Scholarship Program for 2026 Students

California Water Service Group has opened applications for its annual scholarship program. The initiative supports students across its service areas in California, Hawaii, New Mexico, and Washington. Successful candidates will share up to $80,000 in funding.

The program offers four grand-prize scholarships of $10,000 each, alongside smaller awards ranging from $2,500 to $5,000. To qualify, applicants must plan to study full-time at undergraduate level. They must also demonstrate academic achievement, community involvement, and financial need.

The application window closes on Thursday, 26 March 2026. Winners will be notified in late May. As the largest regulated water utility in the western US, the company serves over 2.1 million people across five states.

The scholarships are funded through the company's philanthropic program, supported by stockholders. This means customer rates remain unaffected. The initiative aligns with the company's broader mission to improve quality of life through sustainability, responsible investment, and community support.

The program reflects the company's commitment to education and local communities. Students meeting the criteria have until late March to submit their applications. Final decisions will be announced before the summer term begins.
