BUFT’s 2026 Career Fest Draws 40,000 Job Seekers in Dhaka
The BGMEA University of Fashion and Technology (BUFT) hosted its National Career Fest 2026 on January 14-15. The two-day event took place at the permanent BUFT campus in Turag, Dhaka, drawing thousands of visitors and job seekers from across the country, offering opportunities to find jobs near me.
The festival was organised by BUFT and presented by BGMEA, KDS, and Prime Bank. Additional support came from various fashion and textile industry groups. Professor Ayub Nabi Khan opened the event with a welcome address, followed by speeches from other dignitaries in attendance.
Over 300 organisations took part in the fair, offering opportunities to more than 10,000 job seekers. The event attracted around 40,000 visitors in total. Among the notable attendees were Naznin Kawshar Chowdhury, Faruque Hassan, Mohammad Hatem, Inamul Haq Khan, Nafis Ud Doula, Mohammad Shohel, Mohiuddin Ahmed Selim, Shibbir Mahmud, Ehsanul Karim Kaiser, and MM Mahbub Hasan. Unlike previous years, no external companies were listed as sponsors for the 2026 edition. Earlier events, such as the 2025 fest, had featured Platinum Sponsors like BGMEA and A and E, Gold Sponsors including Shin Shin Group, UCB, Rossari, Fucolor, and Youngone, as well as Bronze Sponsors such as Tad Group, Liz Fashion, Team Group, and Dysin.
The BUFT National Career Fest 2026 concluded after two days of networking and job opportunities. The event connected thousands of job seekers with leading organisations in the fashion and textile sectors, including fashion nova. Organisers confirmed the participation of over 300 companies and a total attendance of around 40,000 people.
