NEFU and AGATU Competitive Admissions Underway in Yakutia

The competitive lists for admissions to the North-Eastern Federal University (NEFU) and the Arctic State Agrarian University (AGATU) in Yakutia have been published on July 27th, and are available on the Central Admissions Committee's website of NEFU.

For those considering targeted education at AGATU, the most attractive programs include "Information Systems and Technologies", "Land Management and Cadastre", and "Agricultural Engineering". High competition is observed in the Medical, Financial and Economic Institutes, the Law Faculty, and the Institute of Mathematics and Informatics at NEFU, as well as in the most popular fields of study among applicants for vocational training in Yakutia, such as healthcare, economics and management, education and pedagogical sciences, and law.

Admission at NEFU will take place in two stages, while the admissions campaign in middle professional education institutions in Yakutia is currently in full swing. As of July 28th, the Central Admissions Committee of NEFU has received a total of 33,823 applications.

This year, 33 applicants are admitted under a separate quota for SVO participants at AGATU.

Special attention will be given to targeted training in 2025, with 104 budgeted places allocated for targeted education programs and an increase in the number of targeted places offered by employers. Among employers, the most in-demand programs for targeted admission this year at AGATU are "Animal Husbandry", "Forestry", "Agricultural Engineering", and "Veterinary Medicine".

Participants of the special military operation typically opt for "Agricultural Engineering" and "Animal Husbandry" specialties at AGATU. In 2025, the most popular programs among AGIKI applicants are Social and Cultural Activities, Applied Informatics, Animation and Computer Graphics Artist, Library and Information Activities, National Artistic Culture, Cultural Studies, and Decorative Applied Arts.

A large-scale event - "ProfiMarshrut: Career Kick-off" will be held at Friendship Square in Yakutsk on August 8 for applicants, featuring presentations from educational institutions, an exhibition fair, and quests. Document acceptance at vocational schools in Yakutia will continue until August 15. Over 150 exams were conducted at the main university and 40 at the branches.
