From institutes and faculties to counseling services and student initiatives, first-year students can not only gather information but also make their first connections. New this year, regional companies will also be present, offering insights into internships, student jobs, and career paths after graduation.
**Welcome Week for International Students**
New international students can kick off their experience with **Welcome Week**, starting on October 13—a perfect opportunity to get to know the university and the city while making new friends. The week features a diverse program, including campus tours, workshops, info sessions on study-related topics, and numerous networking events. International initiatives such as the Indian Student Community and the Association of Chinese Scholars and Students will also introduce themselves. A special highlight is the first-year excursion to Autostadt Wolfsburg. The Erasmus Student Network (ESN) Braunschweig will provide additional entertainment and help foster connections among international students. The program is organized by International Student Support in collaboration with teams from the International House, TU Braunschweig departments, and student initiatives.
**Getting to Eintracht-Stadion**
Those traveling by public transport can take tram lines 1 and 2, which run from the main station through the city center to Eintracht-Stadion. Due to construction, trams will not depart from Platform C at the station forecourt as usual but from Platform H (opposite the steam locomotive). Line 1 stops directly at the stadium (Stadion stop, direction Wenden), while Line 2 stops nearby (Gesundheitsamt stop, direction Siegfriedviertel). Additional services will be available on both lines from the main station to the stadium before the event and from the stadium to the town hall afterward.
Please allow plenty of time to reach the stadium, as public transport to the venue is expected to be very crowded. Those living nearby are encouraged to walk or cycle. One more tip: The stadium is not heated, so don't forget warm clothing!
The event will include sign language interpreters and is fully accessible.
