Brainzone Launches with a Playful Twist on Learning and Free Gaming Console
A new magazine called Brainzone is set to hit newsstands with a fresh take on learning. Published by Blue Ocean Entertainment, a subsidiary of Burda, it promises to make knowledge fun and engaging. The first issue will launch in German-speaking countries before expanding across Europe next spring.
Brainzone will appear every two months, priced at €5.99 per issue. Distribution will be managed by MZV, a major wholesale press distributor. The magazine’s debut comes with an extra treat—a pocket-sized LCD gaming console included with the first edition.
The publication covers a broad mix of subjects, from science and the animal kingdom to pop culture, gaming, and daily life. Readers can expect award-winning wildlife photos from the Nikon Comedy Wildlife Awards. A character named Doc Brainy, a raccoon, guides them through topics with short, digestible 'Brainfacts'. Behind the scenes, the magazine is produced by Blue Ocean’s knowledge editorial team, known for titles like Was ist was and National Geographic Kids. Simon Peter leads the project as editor-in-chief.
Brainzone aims to stand out with its playful yet informative style. The first issue will arrive with a bonus gaming device, while future editions will roll out across more European markets. The magazine’s mix of humour, visuals, and varied topics targets curious readers of all ages.
