BMAS Launches Action Weeks: 493 Events Nationwide Boost German Labor Market

The Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs (BMAS) has launched the Action Weeks, a nationwide initiative aimed at creating opportunities for various groups, including the unemployed, parents, older workers, people with disabilities, and foreign skilled workers. Running until September 28, 2025, over 493 events are taking place across Germany, offering job fairs, career guidance, and practical examples of employing international talent.

The Action Weeks calendar, available on the Initiative New Quality of Work (INQA) website and as a downloadable PDF, provides a comprehensive overview of these events. The program is designed to strengthen the labor market and attract skilled workers, as emphasized by Bärbel Bas, the Federal Minister of Labor and Social Affairs. It includes job fairs, career guidance, advice on employee qualifications and further training, and practical examples of recruiting and employing international skilled workers. The events aim to showcase the commitment of various actors in shaping the future of work in Germany.

The Action Weeks, initiated by the BMAS, provide a wealth of opportunities for job seekers and employers alike. With a focus on inclusivity and skill development, the initiative seeks to create a strong and competitive labor market, as highlighted by Minister Bärbel Bas.
