Binh Minh Plastics Brings Clean Water & Joy to Vietnamese Communities

Binh Minh Plastics, a leading Vietnamese company, has been making a significant impact on local communities through its 'Loving Water, Loving the Future' initiative. This year, the Mid-Autumn Festival was held in Phu Nghia commune, where 70 scholarships worth VND70 million ($2,655) were awarded to students facing hardships. The company, along with SCG Group, is committed to reducing social inequality and promoting green growth.

Since 2022, the initiative has been carried out annually by Binh Minh Plastics, providing clean water to remote areas and ethnic minority communities. Over three years, it has installed 83,312 metres of pipelines, benefiting 5,750 students and over 104,280 households. The project focuses on installing clean water systems and charity houses, and organizing events like the Green Mid-Autumn Festival.

In Bu Gia Map commune, the initiative has installed a new water drainage system with 34,560 metres of pipes, benefiting 1,152 households. In 2025, the initiative will expand to Bu Gia Map commune with total funding of up to VND1.24 trillion ($47 million). Additionally, Binh Minh Plastics' trade union has shown compassion by handing over a House of Love to Nguyen Thi Thanh Xuan, a local resident unable to work and lacking a stable income.

Binh Minh Plastics, ranked amongst Vietnam's 50 Best-Performing Companies in 2019, continues to make strides in improving local quality of life. Through its 'Loving Water, Loving the Future' initiative, the company aims to bring joy to local children and promote inclusive green growth. Its commitment to reducing social inequality is evident in its annual scholarships and clean water projects, making a tangible difference in the lives of many.
