Four well-known columnists will gather in Berlin this December for a live reading event. Christiane Rösinger, Philipp Rhensius, Simone Dede Ayivi, and Steffen Grimberg will each present their latest columns at the Fahimi-Bar on December 17, 2025. The evening, moderated by Rösinger, promises a mix of personal reflections, cultural critique, and media insights.
Rösinger will also take the stage again in 2026 with two performances of her work in Vienna and Munich.
The event will feature readings from four distinct voices in German media. Rösinger, who writes the column From the Life of a Boomer, will host the evening. Her recent music theatre production, Leben im Liegen, is currently showing at Berlin’s HAU Theater. After the December reading, she will perform live on May 13, 2026, at 7:00 PM in Vienna’s Gemeindebau-Concert Hall, followed by another show on May 30, 2026, at 8:00 PM in Munich.
Philipp Rhensius, author of the column Was Macht Mich (What Makes Me), will also read at the event. His debut book, Home Is Where The Heart Strives, was published in autumn 2025.
Simone Dede Ayivi, known for her column Diskurspogo, brings a sharp cultural perspective. She co-authored the acclaimed essay collection Eure Heimat ist unser Albtraum (Your Homeland Is Our Nightmare), which critiques German identity politics.
Steffen Grimberg, who leads the KNA Media Service since 2018, writes the column Flimmern und rauschen (Static and Snow). Before this role, he served as spokesperson for ARD chairwoman Karola Wille in 2016 and 2017.
No further public appearances have been announced for Rhensius, Ayivi, or Grimberg beyond the Berlin event.
The December 17 reading will offer a rare chance to hear these writers share their work in person. Tickets for the Fahimi-Bar event are likely to be in demand, given the participants’ profiles. Meanwhile, Rösinger’s upcoming performances in Vienna and Munich provide additional opportunities to experience her creative output in 2026.
