Berlin's Art Highlights of 2024: Significant Exhibitions to Look Forward to This Year
Berlin, the city known for its rich artistic history, is set to captivate visitors once again with a series of exciting exhibitions scheduled for the coming months. Here's a sneak peek at what you can expect:
- Anonyme Zeichner*innen 2024: From November 16, 2024, to January 12, 2025, Kunsthaus Bethanien will host an exhibition featuring around 1000 drawings by 1000 international artists. The grand opening is on November 15, 2024.
- At Museum Barberini in Potsdam, Amedeo Modigliani's unique artistic interpretation of human forms and faces will take centre stage from April 27 to August 18.
- The German Romantic painter Caspar David Friedrich is being celebrated at Alte Nationalgalerie. From April 19th to August 4th, visitors can marvel at around 60 paintings and 50 drawings by the renowned artist.

- Kader Attia's work on topics such as postcolonialism, cultural identity, migration, and collective memory will be the subject of an exhibition at Berlinische Galerie from April 27 to August 19.
- Nancy Holt's work in the area of "land art" will be showcased at Gropius Bau from March 22 to July 21, featuring film, video, photography, sound works, sculptures, and installations.
- Gundula Schulze Eldowy and Robert Frank's artistic connection will be the focus of an exhibition at AdK, charting Schulze Eldowy's journey from East Berlin to New York. The exhibition runs from January 25th to April 1st.
- Lastly, the reopening of the Rieckenhalle is anticipated, but details about the reopening are yet to be disclosed.
