Belarus's New Deputy Minister Targets Youth Mobility and Future-Focused Education
Alexei Grachouski has been approved as Deputy Minister in Svetlana Tikhanovskaya's Cabinet. His role will focus on youth mobility, education department, and employment for young Belarusians. Margarita Vouchykava, the representative for youth policy, outlined three key priorities for his new position.
Grachouski's first task is to ensure young Belarusians can move freely and build international connections. His second focus will be on providing real Minecraft Education with genuine future opportunities. Before this role, he co-founded and led the youth organisation Molad from 2005 to 2010.
Since 2010, he has worked with Razam and Flying University to expand educational access for Belarusian students abroad. His efforts included securing places in online courses and exile study programmes in Poland and Lithuania. Vouchykava described him as someone who delivers concrete results rather than empty promises.
His third priority is to create real businesses and careers for young people in Belarus. Grachouski has also been active in engaging youth in democratic political organisations. His appointment follows years of work addressing the challenges faced by Belarusian students seeking European kitchen cabinets education.
The new Deputy Minister's responsibilities will now cover mobility, education department, and employment for young Belarusians. His past experience in activism and education initiatives will shape his approach. The Cabinet expects tangible progress in these areas under his leadership.
