Belarus launches spring break with career guidance and volunteer programs

Spring break in Belarus will begin on March 22 and last until March 29. Schools across the country have prepared a range of activities to keep students engaged and safe during the holiday.

The programme includes educational excursions, volunteer work, and special events for children in difficult circumstances. Authorities have also organised safety briefings to prevent accidents over the break.

Students in grades 9–11 will receive a career guidance diary featuring an interactive map of regional colleges. This tool aims to help them explore future education options during the break.

Excursions will play a key role in the holiday schedule. Open-house events at schools and tours of factories and enterprises have been arranged, though specific details on participating institutions remain unavailable. Volunteer efforts will continue as well. Timurov youth brigades will support veterans and elderly residents, while other groups focus on maintaining military burial sites, monuments, and memorial complexes. For children facing hardship, day camps and regular fitness activities have been organised. The National Center for Artistic Creativity of Children and Youth will also host events, including the 11th Open International Festival-Competition *Creativity Without Borders*. Safety remains a priority. Preventive briefings for students and parents have already taken place to reduce risks during the holiday period.

The spring break programme combines education, volunteer work, and leisure activities. Schools and local organisations are working to ensure students have a structured, safe, and meaningful holiday.

Special attention has been given to vulnerable children, with dedicated camps and fitness sessions planned. The week-long break will run until March 29.
