In a recent development, the Dortmund Police have successfully intervened in a bank fraud attempt that took place in the Lünen neighborhood on Tuesday, July 1st, 2025.

The incident began at 10:30 AM when an 88-year-old woman received a call from a scammer who claimed that burglars were active in the area and demanded a sum of 20,000 euros for their arrest. The scammer put increasing pressure on the elderly woman, but thankfully, no burglars were reported to be active in the Lünen neighborhood during the incident.
