Bad Salzungen Authorities Seize Unapproved E-cigarettes in Youth Protection Control
Authorities in Bad Salzungen recently conducted a successful youth protection control, focusing on commercial establishments. The September 19, 2025, action targeted suspected violations of youth protection laws and tobacco product regulations.
The control, which also checked alcohol sales and consumption, uncovered several unapproved e-cigarettes and vaporizers. These were seized during the operation. Additionally, minors were found in smoking bars without proper age verification. Youth welfare office employees addressed these issues.
Shisha bars and vape sales outlets suspected of selling illegal nicotine products were inspected. The sale of untaxed and counterfeit e-cigarettes/vapes is prohibited. The operators involved in suspected violations have not been publicly named.
The joint control action was deemed a success, with numerous violations discovered and appropriate measures taken. Children and young people are reminded that they are not allowed to buy, consume, or stay in smoking bars, even with adult accompaniment.
