Authorities are actively probing the circumstances surrounding a reported incident

The kindergarten "Regenbogen" in Schneverdingen is currently under investigation for allegations of endangering children's welfare. The evangelical Lutheran daycare has been the subject of an ongoing investigation by the police inspection Heidekreis, following the discovery of a tablet of unknown origin, which was a strong painkiller.

The kindergarten "Regenbogen" will undergo a personnel reorganization before its reopening, as announced by the Protestant Kindergarten Association Rotenburg-Verden. The association aims to "reorganize the personnel equipment" of the kindergarten to ensure the care of the children. However, no further details about the personnel changes have been provided due to the ongoing investigation.

The allegations came to light during an inspection of the concepts by the new pedagogical management of the Protestant Kindergarten Association Rotenburg-Verden. The search results do not provide information on the new pedagogical leader of the association who uncovered the allegations.

The Protestant Kindergarten Association Rotenburg-Verden has also filed a police report and involved the youth welfare office. The mayor, Meike Moog-Steffens, has appealed to the presumption of innocence, expressing concern about the shortage of childcare workers, particularly in relation to the new kindergarten "Am Heideweg".

The mayor has a particular eye on the soon-to-be-completed new kindergarten "Am Heideweg", which is expected to operate under the same management as the kindergarten "Regenbogen". The management team of the kindergarten has been relieved of their duties.

The director of the kindergarten, who has been in office since it opened in 1991, was not available for comment. The deputy did not wish to comment. The Superintendent, Dr. Michael Blömer, has confirmed the allegations upon request.

Parents of the 90 children were already informed about the situation in a letter two weeks ago. The kindergarten association will inform parents about the further course of action at a parents' evening next Thursday.

The new kindergarten "Am Heideweg" is to operate under the roof of the kindergarten "Regenbogen". Both Blömer and Moog-Steffens express general concern about the shortage of childcare workers in the area.

As the investigation continues, the community awaits updates on the situation and the reopening of the kindergarten "Regenbogen".
