Austria’s top vocational talents shine at Salzburg’s record-breaking skills showdown

Salzburg recently hosted Austria’s largest skills competition, drawing over 500 participants across 46 trades. The event also featured the International Skills Championships Europe, where Austrian competitors secured multiple medals. Among the winners was Melanie Seidl, who claimed gold in stonemasonry.

The Austrian Skills competition took place at the Salzburg Exhibition Center, covering an area of 20,000 square meters. Participants showcased their abilities in trades ranging from painting and wiring to construction. The event also included the BIM Career Information Fair, the BeSt Fair, and the EAKON conference, offering broader opportunities for education and networking.

The competition celebrated excellence in vocational trades while reinforcing Austria’s reputation for high-quality training.
