ASBK Health Careers Fair connects students with future opportunities
The ASBK Health Careers Fair returned to Anna-Siemsen Vocational College for its second year. Nearly 130 students attended the event, which featured ten different institutions from the healthcare sector. Organisers aimed to help young people explore future career options in health sciences.
The fair was put together by Katrin Landau, Till Dennier, Birgit Saager, and Marius Diekmann. Students could visit booths and join informational sessions about various career fields. Schools, hospitals, nursing programmes, universities, and non-profits all took part.
School principal André Kaiser urged students to speak directly with professionals at the event. The fair gave those in health sciences a chance to learn about job opportunities and training paths. Previous years saw some attendees securing training contracts or career placements after attending. Representatives from different healthcare organisations answered questions and shared details about their work. The event focused on practical advice, helping students make informed decisions about their next steps.
This year's fair built on its past success by connecting students with potential employers and training providers. The event reinforced ties between education and the healthcare industry. Organisers plan to continue offering similar opportunities in the future.
