The 2026 Study Northern Tool Student Ambassador Program is now accepting applications, offering international students a unique platform to develop leadership skills and represent the Northern Territory's diverse education community. With over 10 years of history and 200 past participants, the program has proven transformative, as described by 2025 Student Ambassador Amina Salha.
The program, running since 2012, has involved around 200 international students, providing them with opportunities to enhance their professional skills and share their experiences of studying in the Northern Territory. This year, up to 20 ambassadors will be selected, representing various educational levels and backgrounds. Minister Robyn Cahill emphasizes the importance of international students in driving economic growth and diversity in the region. As of June 2025, over 4,350 students from 70 nationalities are studying in the Northern Territory, contributing an average of $41,841 each to the local economy.
Applications for the 2026 program close on Monday, 24 November 2025. The International Study Northern Tool Office is responsible for processing applications. By joining the program, students can gain valuable leadership experience, contribute to the Northern Territory's international education community, and help drive its economic growth and diversity.
