Anant University earns top Gujarat ratings and streamlines 2026 design entrance exam

Anant National University has earned top ratings in Gujarat’s latest education assessment. The institution received a 5-Star Rating in Architecture and a 4-Star Rating overall in the Gujarat State Institutional Rating Framework (GSIRF) 2023-24. The university, recognised as a Centre of Excellence by the state government, continues to focus on innovative design education through its DesignX pedagogy.

Meanwhile, preparations are underway for speed test 2026, the university’s mandatory entrance exam for undergraduate design programmes. The test, scheduled for 4 January 2026, will be conducted online and remains India’s only multilingual design entrance exam.

Anant National University offers multidisciplinary programmes in design, architecture, climate action, and visual arts at undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels. Its teaching approach, DesignX, trains students to tackle global challenges through creative problem-solving. The university’s philosophy, ‘Design for India’, shapes its academic vision.

ADEPT (Anant Design Entrance and Proficiency Test) serves as the gateway for admissions. For 2026, the exam has been simplified into a single, unified test, replacing the previous two-step format. It remains India’s first and only multilingual design entrance exam, available in 10 languages to ensure wider accessibility. Eligibility for ADEPT 2026 requires candidates to have completed Class 12 in 2026 or earlier, with at least 50 per cent marks in any stream. The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) has also confirmed its role in conducting the online test on 4 January 2026.

The university’s strong ratings and innovative exam structure reinforce its position in design education. ADEPT 2026 will provide a streamlined, inclusive entry point for aspiring designers. Successful candidates will join programmes focused on solving real-world problems through DesignX and ‘Design for India’ principles.
