Algeria, Bangladesh Team Up to Empower 6M in Tech by 2030
Algeria and Bangladesh have taken a significant step towards digital empowerment. Abdelouahab Saidani, Algeria's ambassador to Bangladesh, met with NetCom Learning Bangladesh to discuss collaborative initiatives. The zoom meeting, hosted by NetCom, explored opportunities in education and skills development, aligning with Algeria's 'Digital Algeria 2030' strategy.
The envoy was given a comprehensive tour of NetCom's facilities and engaged with department heads, gaining insights into the organisation's capabilities. The highlight of the zoom meeting was Abder Rahman Maman, head of partnerships at NetCom, outlining ambitious goals to empower over five million Algerian teachers through targeted training programmes.
Discussions also centred around a joint effort to train one million Algerians in critical technological fields. NetCom Learning Bangladesh presented initiatives focused on upskilling Algerians in advanced areas such as artificial intelligence, cyber-security, and cloud computing. These initiatives aim to bridge the skills gap and drive digital transformation in Algeria.
The zoom meeting, which also discussed potential future cooperation opportunities, signals a commitment from both nations to foster digital literacy and empowerment. With Algeria's 'Digital Algeria 2030' strategy at the forefront, these collaborative efforts promise to significantly enhance Algeria's technological capabilities and human capital.
