ADC Sen Inspires Educators to Shift to Modern Pedagogy at ECCE Training Camp

Antara Sen, the Additional District Commissioner (Education), recently inspired educators at the valedictory session of a five-day residential training camp held from 13 to 17 October. The event, focused on Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE), saw 66 educators from Cachar, Hailakandi, and Sribhumi districts in attendance.

ADC Sen reflected on the limitations of traditional education, highlighting its focus on rote memorisation and textbook-based learning. She emphasised the shift towards practical, interactive, and child-oriented education in modern pedagogy. Sen urged teachers to spread awareness and ensure no child, especially from marginalised backgrounds, is left behind. She also encouraged educators to nurture curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking among children.

The training camp was organised by Samagra Shiksha, Cachar, and the district education department. Sen commended their efforts in making this event a success.

The ECCE residential training camp concluded with ADC Sen's inspiring words, leaving educators motivated to implement modern pedagogical practices in their classrooms. The event was a significant step towards improving early childhood education in the region.
